Tall bloke wanting to be Chancellor of the Exchequer cracks gag at expense of major ally.

George Osborne:”I’m going to move off the box that Andrew was standing on [laughs].. the Sarkozy box!”

OK, it was a quip, but it does show the imbecilic nature of George Osborne. He really can’t stop himself. Now don’t get me wrong, I often suffer the same tendency but I’ve never wanted to be Chancellor of the Exchequer.

People I respect in the Conservatives tell me that he is actually good company and the real brains in the Cameron camp. I’ve only ever seen him act like an idiot.

tom , its called having a sense of humour
if prescott would have said it…..you would be saying its “good working class humour”

sarkozy does need a box to stand on, more shame on him for having to stand on a box…….any one would think that the little fella has a complex about being small

get a life tom…oh, and get a sense of humour

before Cameron’s leap in the polls (or our collapse) I thought Osbourne would be the next Tory PM rather than Cameron.
He’s smart, but young and inexperienced. This is, to me, the problem with the current obsession with youth in politics – people are elevated before they’re ready

Major ally? The French? Now who is being silly?

i do think a possible future cabinet minister should have more brains then to crack a joke like that on camera… and then to giggle like a moronic schoolboy. even euro sceptics must see this lacks professionalism

Osborne has no diplomatic sense, but then he was in the Bullingdon Club, and it shows.
