4iP launch first project

It’s small, simple, innovative, in fact, never been done before. Powered by ‘backchat’, a work of Waghorn genius. When can we have one for Sandwell’s pride?

Tom,

I hope your meeting went very well…

I’d love to empower Sandwell’s finest with something similar; only you put the idea in front of NESTA – motto ‘Making innovation flourish…’ – and their response is that it was ‘beyond their area of expertise and experience…’

… alternatively you could try the local RDA; and you go from EEDA, to ScreenEast, to EPIC, to EEMA… and all with the a 4iP partner already in place… don’t get ‘it’.

Just don’t get the desperate need to work out where next for local media before we have the first Tribune-like act over here.

It’s a nightmare.

Which is why I hope your meeting went very well.

All the best, etc

Went? It hasn’t even started. But it will.

If only to show the libertarians at the forefront of this digital revolution, I’m going to make sure the responsive state can make itself relevant to you. :-)

As ever. . .

Here’s a deal, I find one of Sandwell’s finest football reporters – in every likelihood being put through the grisly Trinity Mirror mill that is Fort Dunlop right now – bolt on ‘backchat’ to a new, Midlands MFW ‘branch’ and all of a sudden your passionate niche community can enjoy the same kind of 24/7 conversations that our Norwich one now can with, not only me, but more importantly Sandwell’s equivalent of Stephen Fry… if only he’d remember to add his #ncfc tag to his latest Canary twitterings as politely requested…

…in return all any of us green shoots want is a spot of support, understanding and a small dollop of cash.

And not be left to wade through the cloying mud of the RDAs who simply don’t get it.

But three cheers for Messrs Loosemore, McIntosh and Arnold at 4ip who do.

Perhaps I should try and bring the ‘big guns’ of Westminster Canaries to bear on EEDA and Co; Messrs Balls, Clarke and Gibson.

All the best, etc.

I get it and I want to sort it. We should meet.

That’d be great to meet.

Though I do quite fancy watching the MP for Norwich South work his particular brand of muscular magic around the corridors of NESTA/EEDA…

All the best, etc.
