		<description>How can you not see the upside? It will mean that couples can draw up contracts that suit them rather than being obnliged to sign one decreed by the state. 

It will mean that a woman, or man, who works immensely hard to build up a business, or create a level of financial security, need not lose it if their partner mistreats them, commits adultery or otherwise badly lets them down, or simply dumps them for no good reason. 

Pre-nups are no more than personalised marriage contracts. And why should we not personalise them? Why do politicians feel they, rather than we, should decide the terms of our romantic relationships as well as everything else in our lives?</description>

Very comforting to know where the Tories are getting their ideas from these days. Surely not a case of &#039;we will defend your individual rights and freedoms as long as you do what we want&#039;. I believe that&#039;s called hypocrisy.</description>
