BBC world on the move – humpback whales with Joe Stevens

The haunting sound of humpback whales captured by the BBC. Listen to them and they make you feel guilty for being a polluting human.

Not sure that I feel quilty, as listening to whales is far more exciting and engaging than listening to Gordon Brown give a speech.

Did you watch Richard Dawkins’s C4 programme about Charles Darwin this week? The bit after the second advert break might help make you a tad less sentimental about “mother nature” and animals…

I didn’t Brian but don’t you find Richard Dawkins just a little supercilious for evening telly?

Whether this makes one feel “guilty” for being a human or not, the fact remains the song of the humpbacks captured by Joe is remarkable and rare. Kudos to the BBC & their employees for undertaking the kind of endeavour it takes to get this audio.
