Between a quarter and a third of the world’s wildlife has been lost since 1970, according to the zoological society of London. This is “unprecedented in human history” according to the ZSL.

Though not in pre-human history … and it ain’t necessarily true of human history either. The fossil record ain’t exactly 100% complete.
