Haha, I’m not here to defend Roger Waters’ behaviour by any means, he’s a bit of a fool. Just passing on his stated political views. He did spend the 70s living in a semi in Islington while the others had mansions (cos he didnt want to “betray his principles”) but I suppose he wouldnt be the first person to move to the right in his dotage.

Roger Waters is the biggest fraud going.
Spent the 70s taking working class kids money with anti establishment songs then couple years back plays a concert for his new found friends, those well known Trots the Countryside Alliance!
Get rich off the backs of school kids who spend their parents hard earned (and in the 80s scarce) money, so you can live like a Lord of the Manor in the years to come and prance about with the killing for fun aristocratic set.
Waters a socialist???? You are having a laugh!!

Roger Waters is an old Trot! He’s certainly not right wing! Dave Gilmour is a Labour supporter. It’s the drummer in Pink Floyd who’s the rightie, I think.

But yeah the Strawbs were paid-up Tories, and a lot of the prog people were. Public school and all that.

Its well known that they are Tories, their lead singer played at the 2001 Tory conference and Rick Wakeman is a regular at Tory fund-raisers. Nasty bunch.
