Lib Dems say sorry. This is actually more significant than it looks. In nearly every by-election I have worked in, the Lib Dems have pulled this stunt.
If every local newspaper fought back at these tactics, one of their classic election stunts will be put to rest. Good on the group editor of the Watfod Observer for standing up for his newspaper’s reputation.
