Tom, I’d ask you to remove, or at least reword that last paragraph. I have said no such thing, nor would I ever do so. To say anything like that is an obvious kiss of death and I haven’t done so to anyone at all – not even closest friends. Your allegation is deeply damaging.

I suspect that if Iain Dale did manage to wangle a seat and actually win it unlike last time then the blogging would continue but just at the expense of the taxpayer. Kind of ironic me thinks.
