Where is Nick Clegg?

I’ve looked everywhere on the Lib Dem conference site, but cannot see where Nick Clegg, their law and order guy, is speaking. Surely, their so-called shadow home secretary must be addressing their conference? He certainly spoke last year. If you can see where Nick Clegg will be talking about law and order, can you let me know?

Is this a complaint or an observation?!

Where are the bloodhounds we used in 2001 for Letwin?

Clegg will be doing:

Tuesday 11.30 Immigration (policy)
Tuesday 16.40 Citizenship and Identity (panel)
Thursday 10.45 Surveillance Society (policy)

I dare say you could try to book him for a speech if you feel you are missing out, but he has a pretty full diary.

I new that he was doing fringe events but where is the speech from the rostrum? Surely the “shadow home secretary” would want to sketch out lib dem thinking on law and order?

I think that we should mount a petition to get him a slot? What do you say Joe?

Lib Dem thinking? A fine oxymoron there.

Very surprised he hasn’t demanded a spot – must keep that profile high in case Ming falls out of his bathchair and there’s a snap leadership election.

Meanwhile, Nick Clegg’s third party voting figures – supposed to show us what the Lib Dems are for – are utterly ridiculous.

He is from a different school to Old Ming and that’s the all means necessary, exaggerate and fib school. If Ming really has offered him the succession for being a good boy now as reported in the Mail (linked from link above) – bit annoying for members who thought they’d get a vote (cf Labour) – then this is a good thing for the rest of us I think.

He’s a proper Lib Dem weaselologist not a kindly old gentleman or a figure of party time fun.
