Another day in the life of David Cameron

I’m beginning to think that the Tories have got a student intern running Central Office during August.

If their allegations on health were not so serious, it would be comic. This just in from their press office. Spot the error that no doubt David Cameron will be denying shortly:

Lansley: Ministers wrong to say deficits aren’t forcing cuts

Shadow Health Secretary Andrew Lansley has today expressed his concern at the announcement that the Trust which runs Coventry’s University Hospital and the Hospital of St Cross in Rugby is looking to cut 200 jobs by March 2008 to balance their books.

Commenting, Mr Lansley said:
“Ministers constantly say that deficits aren’t forcing cuts.

“Tell that to the people of Scarborough and Bridlington. These job cuts show why we are right to call for an independent and fair allocation of NHS funding based on the relative burden of disease.”

Cameron couldn’t have looked more stupid with his photo in the paper standing outside his local hospital with a cardboard placard saying “Save our A&E” when there was no threat to it in the first place! That boy has a lot to learn.
