[...] He attracted some criticism form a variety of quarters. Tom Watson’s blog, tried to smear Tony by saying that he was not on the local election register, only to realise that their own Labour Party had reformed election law to allow candidates to stand using their given name, in this case Tony, while still appearing on the rolls under their full name. More egg on Tom’s face than Tony’s, there. [...]

'he had named one of his children Cameron after the Conservative leader'
Anything strike you as... bloody frightening about that? If it had been Margaret we'd all be running for the hills.

Can we see a photograph of Mr Tony Lit?
Someone, somewhere must recognise him

When I was a keen young political lad - I grew out of it - I used to go in "Lit" sales round the pubs. But we always use our real names!

As a Lib Dem Councillor I helped the campaign to get Nigel Bakhai elected. Whilst canvassing there was very little mention of Tony Lit but now I follow why? He had several pages of colour brochure and proud of the fact that he had named one of his children Cameron after the Conservative leader.

Whoever he is, he's got blaring loudspeaker cars roaming Ealing today, promising to "change Southall forever". If the additional noise pollution is part of the change he has in mind, then I say 'no thanks, Tony'.

Ummm... isn't this a complete load of rubbish. Bob piper might be right about the result, but is it just possible you might have made a cock-up which you should gracefully withdraw from?
