If this had been a Labour candidate we would've been rightfully mortified, thankfully we seem to employ a more rigourous selection procedure in selecting candidates. The other question I ask of Tony Lit is whlist attending the event is bad enough why the hell did he get his photo taken with Tony Blair if he had Conseravtive political aspirations? It seems just about impossible as he would surely have calculated that it was likely to be revealed and be hugely embarrassing - as has turned out to be the case. Would the dumped Maude have "parachuted" Lit in knowing all this was likely to happen? Search me. Either way it makes Cameron look stupid. If I were him I'd be a very worried man.
